Holy crap.  I really haven't been around much, have I?  So much for more regular journal entries.  Damn... So, life recently.  Hmm... Well, not busy.  Finally kicked WoW to the curb about a month ago.  Cataclysm was a pretty good expansion.  If you were playing and stopped during Wrath because it was boring as hell, it might be worth going back for a look.  Class balance is much better, raid buffs got reorganised, Arms warriors aren't completely pointless in PvE (and are in fact pretty dang powerful now), you need crowd control again, Heroics actually prepare you pretty well for raiding, and being DPS isn't an excuse to just sit back and pu

Hi, it's me again, a year and a half down then line, and still haven't been terribly motivated to write anything stupendous in the interim. Can't say I've achieved much on the gamer front either.  World of Warcraft has been doing a pretty good job of consuming my soul, and a pretty hefty chunk of my time along with it.  Although as I write this, I haven't even logged in since Monday, and even then it was only to do a transmute, and to give my guildies a chance to wish me a happy birthday directly. Once again, rambling wierdness ensues... I actually managed to finish Dragon Quest 8, including the post-game dungeon, the first Dragovian Trial, and finishing the game again for the "real" ending.  Quite a bit of fun that, even if the final boss of the main plot wasn't really all that hard.  The game has a kind of "Chrono Trigger" touch, in that the main character doesn't speak at all.  It's slightly wierd, and it doesn't lend him much in the way of a personality, although I suppose the point is to project yourself in his place (as the Hero of the story), so he's like that so he doesn't get in the way.
