Once again, rambling wierdness ensues...
I actually managed to finish Dragon Quest 8, including the post-game dungeon, the first Dragovian Trial, and finishing the game again for the "real" ending. Quite a bit of fun that, even if the final boss of the main plot wasn't really all that hard. The game has a kind of "Chrono Trigger" touch, in that the main character doesn't speak at all. It's slightly wierd, and it doesn't lend him much in the way of a personality, although I suppose the point is to project yourself in his place (as the Hero of the story), so he's like that so he doesn't get in the way.
I did get quite attached to some of t
